Informal sector dominates the economic activities of the Asian Counties like India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Cambodia, Vietnam and China and so does informal learning. By looking at the percentage of the population occupied in the informal sector, especially street food vending, the present study attempts to unravel the ways in which knowledge and skills acquired in the informal sectors especially street food vending by the individuals. It is field based research. We have collected data for the research from major metropolitans in China, Thailand and India due to the presence of a large number of street food vendors.

Assistant Professor .Dr. Sirilak Hanvatananukul was former dean of Faculty of Technical Education and Faculty of Education, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Advisory to President on vocational escalator school project of Rajamangala University of Technology Suvannaphumi(RMUTSB), former RCP Steering Committee, a committee of New Model of Teacher Project as well as committee Educational Area 3 Ministry of Education. She graduated doctoral degree of Technical Education on Research and Development on Curriculum from King Monkut Institute of Technology North Bangkok(KMITNB) and master and bachelor degree from Chulalongkorn University and Chiangmai University.
