Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement requirements of TVET@Asia (April 2017):
1. Editorial Board
The editorial board of the Journal is changing with every edition. The editorial board consists of four members who are recognized experts in TVET. The names and affiliations of the members can be seen on the top of the page of the actual issue. The permanent members of the editorial board are mentioned on https://www.tvet-online.asia/about/eb. Contact informations are visible on the homepage via https://www.tvet-online.asia/contact.
2. Authors and Authors responsibilities
There are no fees or charges required for the manuscript processing and/or publishing materials in the journal. The author`s responsibilities are as followed: – Authors are obliged to participate in peer review process. – All authors have significantly contributed to the research. – All authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes. – All authors are obliged to provide a list of references, if existing, financial support. – All authors are forbidden to publish the same research in more than one journal.
3. Peer-review process
All the journal’s content will be subjected to a peer-review process before publication. The peer-review process is defined as obtaining advice on individual manuscripts from reviewers’ expert in the field. It is clearly described in the respective call for papers on the journal’s Web site. The peer review process is done with objective criterias and with any conflict of interest. The review process points out relevant published work which is not yet cited. The results of the review process are treated very confidentially by all persons.
4. Publication ethics
The publishers and editors take reasonable steps during the review process to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct is recognizable. It is an important requirement that the criterias of excellent scientific research are met by the authors. In no case the editors of TVET@Asia will encourage misconduct or knowingly allow any misconduct taking place. In the event that a publisher or editors of TVET@Asia are made aware of any allegation of research misconduct, the publisher or editor shall deal with consequences of this allegation appropriately. Publishers and editors are always encouraged to be willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed. TVET@Asia has a guideline for retracting or correcting articles when needed.
5. Copyright and Access
The content of the journal and all articles is protected by copyright law. All rights reserved by the authors.
Every author is allowed to retain his/her publishing rights without restrictions.
The licensing information of all content is clearly described on the main page: “Except where otherwise noted, content on this site is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.” The journal and the individual articles are available to all readers as open-accesscontent. There are no fees to pay by the readers
6. Archiving
The journal´s electronic backup and preservation of access to the journal content is to be found via “Issues” on https://www.tvet-online.asia/issue.
7. Ownership and management
The Journal TVET@Asia is owned by the Regional Association for Vocational and Technical Education (RAVTE) and being operated and managed by TU Dortmund University, Germany (Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Thomas Schröder, Professorship of International Cooperation in Education and TVET Systems). The ownership is clearly presented on the homepage.
8. Web site
The Journal is represented at https://www.tvet-online.asia/ and contains a declaration of the compliance of the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement requirements.
9. Publishing schedule
TVET@Asia is a Journal with a half-year-periodicity which means that two editions are published every year.
10. Name of journal
The Journal name TVET@Asia represents a unique designation and therefore is not one that is easily confusing with other journals or that might mislead potential authors and readers about the Journal’s origin or association with other journals.
