As part of the Regional Cooperation Platform for Vocational Teacher Education in Asia (RCP), four vocational teacher training institutions from Vietnam (Namdinh University of Technology Education – NUTE), Laos (Faculty of Engineering/ National University of Laos – FE/ NuoL), Indonesia (Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education/ Indonesia University of Education – FPTK/ UPI) and China (Institute of Vocational Teacher Education – IBB/ Tongji University) have been developing core curricula for Vocational Teacher Education (VTE) in Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Electrical Engineering (EE) at Bachelor Degree.

Dr. Ha Xuan Hung was born in 1963. He has been a Vice Rector of Namdinh University of Technology Education since 2008. His major is Welding Technology. He has many scientific articles on Welding Technology in Vietnamese journals and international journals. Besides Welding Technology, he has many years of experience in vocational training and vocational teacher education with many ministerial research projects in terms of vocational training and vocational teacher education. He has a lot of research projects at ministerial level related to vocational training and vocational teacher education such as the project “Measures to improve the pedagogical ability for students at Namdinh University of Technology Education” defenced in 2006, the project “Build the curricula for transfer program from vocational college level to technological university level for some occupations at Namdinh University of Technology Education” in 2008, the project “Build practice material norms for some occupations at vocational college level” in 2009… He was the Head of the ministerial research project “Improve the effectiveness and quality of the laboratories at institutions of technology education in order to meet the standard of some occupations” defenced in 2011. Besides that, in 2012, he is the head of the research project within the Regional Cooperation Platform for Vocational teacher education in Asia (RCP) with the participation of some universities in the region.
